Bethany Baptist Launches Campus Ministry at State Fair Community College

We've all heard about the spiritual darkness that pervades American colleges and universities - whether it's the "woke" worldview students are taught to deny basic reality, or a broader secular, anti-Christian environment. Colleges have become increasingly hostile to the gospel. That's why it's critically important for Christian students to be prepared to defend their faith, and for local churches to intentionally reach students during this pivotal stage of life.

Praise God, the Lord has blessed Bethany Baptist Church with a partnership with MBCollegiate, which equips Campus Missionaries to make an impact for Christ on college campuses. With State Fair Community College right here in Sedalia, MO, it's a joy to know our church can reach students directly and partner with other local churches to be a blessing to them.

As part of this mission, we're thrilled to welcome Kyle Walsh as our Campus Missionary Intern. He begins this work on Sunday, August 2nd. You'll see him serving on Sundays, and throughout the week building relationships with the staff and students of State Fair.

As Kyle's ministry begins, we invite our church family - and anyone in the Sedalia community who wants to be part of this - to join in two ways:

Pray for Kyle and his family, as they adjust to new rhythms - Kyle is starting this ministry while also beginning seminary at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City this fall.

Consider how you can support this ministry. There will be opportunities to engage students on campus, host them in our local church ministries, and support the work financially - all to the glory of God.
